Mr. Justus turns four!

I can't really believe that we now have a 4 year old in the house, but it's true! Justus turned four on September 15 and we seriously had so much fun celebrating with him!!
Birthday morning! He came into our bed and asked us why he isn't bigger and doesn't feel any taller than he did when he was just 3 & 1/2. Ha ha - love his logistical little mind!
Breakfast of champions - croissant with nutella! YUM.
Besides his obsession with Star Wars, he is really into the Mr. Men books these days, so we went with that theme for his birthday (you'll see...I may have taken it a bit overboard actually).
Checking out his stash...he waited pretty patiently for Piper to wake up before opening them.
And he (and Pipes) had fun opening everything!
His favorite, by far... Star Wars, of course.
And since it is now an official tradition, we had to go to Cairnie Fruit Farm (he has been there on every birthday of his little life so far!). And Piper loved it too! (Love him in his cool guy sunglasses - ha ha!)
Having fun, loving life.
His request for birthday dinner was homemade pizza, which he then requested for breakfast, lunch and dinner every day.
Just one measly birthday cupcake to end the day (we were having his party the next day and I was a little behind on the preparations!!)
The next day we had his first ever birthday party (Mr. Men/Little Miss themed). He loved his invitations and was super excited to hand them out to his friends - some from his school and some who are just good friends.
He wanted to help decorate the cupcakes for the party and he did awesome.
The party was super fun - he had 7 of his friends come and we had lots of games planned. The beanbag toss was definitely a hit.
Pass the parcel - everyone takes turns unwrapping a present that is wrapped several times and the one to unwrap the last layer keeps the present.
Pin the moustache on Mr. Slow.
And the highlight was the pinata for sure. This was my first try at making my own pinata and I must say the packing tape layer was a mistake! Ha! But the kids had so much fun bashing it to pieces!
Trav brought Piper into me at one point during the party and said she had found the cupcakes! No surprise there, really!! Love her.
Justus got shy while everyone sang him Happy Birthday (which, in all fairness, he warned me that he would) so he hid under the table while we sang, but he did come out as soon as the song was over and blew out  the candles! The kid is crazy.
After cupcakes, he opened his presents from his friends. Then Trav grilled burgers and hot dogs for everyone - what a champ! (Did I mention he made a killer birthday party playlist for the ipod?? Ha ha ha!)
Justus loved his "awesome, awesome, awesome, awesome party" and it was great to watch him celebrate with his friends. I wish everyone could have been here to celebrate with us!
