Laugh It Up, Fuzzball

So Justus just started laughing a lot...but it is more of a loud squeal of laughter than a "ha ha ha" kind of thing. It is awesome. And you never know what is going to make him laugh. And chances are that if you did something yesterday to make him laugh and then try it again today, it won't work. He likes to mix it up. But when you do find out what tickles his funny bone for the day, it is so fun to listen to!!

My Buddy

Justus (a.k.a. "Buddy") and Indiana (a.k.a. "Buddy"). They not only share nicknames, but also their love for food, sleep, walks and cuddling.

Thug Life

It's hard being a baby thug. Mom is always dressing you in preppy clothes. Dad talks to you in a high-pitched voice. Grandparents are over-protective. But Justus was finally able to let his inner-thug break free, and thankfully we were able to capture the moment. One day he will thank us. :)

1/3 of a Year

I seriously cannot believe how time flies! Justus turned 4 months old yesterday and I am already forgetting how small and fragile he was when he was first born (that should not surprise any of you who know how horrible my memory is anyways!). In four short months he has gone from 7 lbs, 12 oz to a healthy 16 lbs, 4 oz... from a quiet, sleepy newborn to a talkative, playful baby boy... from the new addition in our family to the one our lives revolve around. He just keeps getting cuter and cuter, and I can't get enough of him!!

1st Christmas, 1st New Year, 1st Snow!

Well, we had our first Christmas & New Year with Justus and he was a trooper! First, we headed off to Stillwater, Oklahoma to spend Christmas with my mom's side of the family. A few notable memories which only those who were there will understand: 5 pounds of bologna, L.T., molasses cookies, Guess Who?, Wild Hogs, Dupes & Dupes Jr., Scum, Warshers...I could go on and on. It was a blast. We came home for a few days and then we were off to Denver, Colorado to ring in the New Year with Travis' family. These memories mainly involve food & games which is what vacation is all about and why we love going to visit the Buchanans! While we were there, Justus got to experience his first snow! It was a great holiday and he was spoiled more than he will ever know!! :)
