Springtime in Pitscottie

I realize I have been a total slacker on the blog...woopsies! And I have lots of great pics to share so I will start to pick up the pace!! We have had some days with really nice weather lately and the first thing we (mostly Justus but us too) want to do is get outside! We have a really fun walking trail right behind our house, and it's a lot more fun now that Justus can walk it on his own. Here's how we have spent several days in the past few weeks (actually more like several evenings - it is staying light outside until 9:30pm now so we usually do these walks after dinner)...
Justus loves picking up big sticks and touching things with them, trying to throw them into the creek, or just swinging them around as he walks. Such a boy :)
Crossing the tiny bridge that leads from the field behind our house to the trail that runs alongside the creek ("burn" as they call it here). Justus always makes us stop on this bridge for several minutes so he can throw every rock or stick he can find into the little tiny trickle of water that runs underneath it.
Following dad across the field...love it.
Heading back (our house is the first one on the left) - home sweet home!
Justus learned a new 'skill' about a week ago...I was pulling weeds while he was playing in the backyard and I looked over and he was climbing the ladder to the slide all by himself (no small feat when you see the 'ladder'). Now he can go down whenever he wants and we don't have to keep lifting him up every time - a win-win!

James wants to know if Justus is sick. Good job on the slide and ladder big guy!

It is amazing to watch your mini-man grow up. Such fun to see.

And... to catch a glimpse of your neighborhood. Looks beautiful! Love the rolling landscape.
