"Clarior Hinc Honos"

"Brighter, hence the honour." That's the official Buchanan clan motto and the newest (and "wee-est") member of the clan just got his very own kilt (in the ancient Buchanan plaid, nonetheless) from his Great-Godmother, Dana! This was a Christmas gift that finally arrived in the mail yesterday, but it seems even more appropriate now that we are headed off to live in the land of the Scots (I'm talking about Scotland, Peeps). Honestly, the kid looks good in a skirt and I don't think he was too upset to be wearing it either :)

Gotta Love Grandmas

Justus got a double-dose of "grandma" this week! That means double the hugs, kisses, cuddles, etc. and he was loving it :) And I know I've said this before, but GiGi and KayKay are the cutest grandmas ever!!

Like Father, Like Son

So Trav always helps me on Sundays by getting Justus dressed for church. When he brought him out of the room this past Sunday he was wearing this cute outfit...and then Trav went and got dressed. It was amazing. I love my boys!!

Sittin' Pretty

Justus is well on his way to sitting up on his own soon...but for now, he likes to sit in his 'bumpo' seat and chew on anything I put in his reach! Gosh, this kid is cute.

Sweet Home Alabama

My mom, Justus and I just spent a week in Troy, Alabama visiting Leah and Kiley (and baby girl Hawarah due July 5). Even though Justus was outnumbered by girls 5 to 1, he still seemed to enjoy himself! It was really fun to see the cousins together. Kiley was super cute with him and she is going to make a great big sis. And in true vacation style, we slept a lot, watched a lot of t.v., and ate A LOT!! We ate an embarrassing amount of food actually. I will not list it all here, but I will say two words: homemade donuts. Let's just leave it at that. :)

This is the actual progression of events: 1. I laid Justus down in his room... 2. The dogs came in... 3. Scout laid down next to Justus... 4. They both relaxed and shared a moment holding hands/paws. They seriously love each other.
