Kung Fu Fighting

Justus got the movie "Kung Fu Panda" for Christmas and we finally got around to watching it this weekend. After it was over, Travis decided that it was time to impart his extensive Kung Fu wisdom to his son. The student has become the master...

(And yes, Trav is in his robe AGAIN! but more appropriately this time as he is participating in the practice of martial arts.)

Mmm...Mmm...Good

Justus started his first "solid" food (rice cereal) this weekend! Of course, whatever I spoon in there just comes right back out, but overall he seems to like it :)

For those of you who really care (probably just the grandmas), we do have his first feeding on video. Please don't be concerned about the lack of parenting knowledge displayed by both Travis and myself, or about the fact that Travis is in a robe (and yes, we do have our friends Seth and Krista over at the time)!!

5 months

Justus will be 5 months old on Sunday... he went to the doctor today and he's in the 75th percentile for height (26.5") and weight (17 lbs, 11 oz). He is doing great. He is such a happy baby and I hope he always stays that way :) Someone asked me the other day how old he is, and I said "almost 5 months" and started to cry! Pathetic, I know, but he is just growing up so fast!!

His latest obsession: the dogs. He loves to look at them, get kisses from them, pet them, and just be around them. If he is crying, he immediately stops if the dogs come up to him. Apparently they are his new best friends (and mine too since they stop the tears!).

My Future's So Bright...

Weekend Update

Justus had a busy weekend... Pops & GiGi Buchanan came to visit... we cheered on the Cardinals in his first Superbowl watching experience (Kay Kay even wore a t-shirt!)... and in true Buchanan style, we ate way too much (see below - Tangy shipped all of these snacks to us before they even arrived!)!! All in all, it was a great weekend of football, food, family and fun.
